According to the official, the Ministry of Economy developed the relevant changes, expanding the opportunities for lending to real estate, after consultations with Ukrfinzhytl and partner banks to make the terms of preferential mortgage loans even more acceptable to borrowers.
Exceptions for the purchase of residential houses will be summer cottages and garden houses, or houses built on plots other than residential and public land.
The NBU also increased the maximum loan rate under the eOselya program for the purchase of houses and reduced the maximum housing cost for the cities of Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Odesa and Kharkiv to bring it in line with market realities.
Another change concerns veterans, those killed and disabled as a result of war, and their family members. These categories will be allowed to purchase an apartment in an apartment building commissioned earlier than 10 years before the date of the contract if such a property is located in Kyiv or a regional center, and without restrictions on the date of operation in other settlements.
