At least 54 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation have been suspected of criminal offenses. Most of them are suspected of corruption and high treason. This is stated in the material of the CHESNO Movement, reports UNN

Since the beginning of the work of the Rada of the IX convocation, only  NABU detectives have served suspicion notices of criminal offenses on 54 MPs. And this is not taking into account the proceedings of the SBU, the Prosecutor General's Office and other law enforcement agencies

- the article says.

However, it is noted that the exact number and names of the suspected MPs are not disclosed in accordance with the law.

The CHESNO Movement has collected information from open sources about 42 MPs who have been suspected of criminal offenses since the beginning of the work of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation. Among them are representatives of all parliamentary factions and groups, except for the Voice.

As noted, most of the suspicions were received by MPs from the Servant of the People party and the now banned OPFL. Most MPs were suspected of false declarations, treason and bribery.

In addition,  25 MPs are reportedly suspected of various corruption crimes. Most of them are MPs from the mono-majority. In particular, 13 MPs are suspected  of making false declarations. At least 6 more MPs  are suspected of offering or accepting bribes, two of abuse of influence, and two more  of forgery.

In addition, another 12 MPs are suspected of crimes against national security, in particular under articles on treason, collaboration and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine. According to CHESNO, most of them are representatives of the banned pro-Russian party OPFL

Reportedly, other articles under which MPs are being "tried"  include forgery for traveling abroad, fraud, tax evasion, button-pressing, and death threats.

It is estimated that out of 42 MPs with suspicions, at least 11 have already been convicted. However, most of them have avoided responsibility due to the expiration of the statute of limitations or due to remorse.

11 MPs with suspicions have so far lost their seats.  However, those of the suspected MPs who have not been deprived of their mandates and are not in jail can continue to vote in the Rada.

For reference

According to part 1 of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
