The Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law (No. 3195) that improves the procedure for appointing and dismissing members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the parliament reported on Wednesday, writes UNN.

Details

Now, government members are obliged to report on their work upon dismissal - at a committee meeting and at a plenary session.

A written report becomes a mandatory condition for submitting a resignation letter.

The law, the parliament noted, increases the transparency of the government's work and strengthens parliamentary control.

Addition

At the end of November, the Committee on State Building recommended that the Verkhovna Rada adopt this draft law as a whole, which obliges a minister to be present and report on his work during the consideration of his resignation in the relevant committee and at a plenary session of the parliament.
