Polish police are investigating the circumstances of a bus overturning on the A4 motorway in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship on Wednesday. Six people were in the car, including a 9-year-old child.
"On Wednesday after 5:00 p.m., a bus overturned on the A4 motorway on the road towards Rzeszów," the report says.
According to preliminary police data, the driver of the Mercedes minibus drove off the road and crashed into a fence. The vehicle overturned, said Łańcut police spokesman Commissioner Wojciech Hruca to RMF FM.
"The bus was carrying Ukrainian citizens - five adults and one 9-year-old child," the report says.
It is noted that two people were taken to the hospital: the driver and one of the passengers. They have already been discharged, Hruca told RMF FM.
Blood tests showed that the bus driver was sober. Police will investigate why he crashed into the fence.
