It is noted that his movie ticketing business experienced difficulties during the pandemic, when cinemas closed or were forced to adhere to restrictions on the number of viewers for almost two years. He also owned several multimillion-dollar homes in the Hamptons on New York's Long Island, Greenwich (Connecticut) and Palm Beach (Florida), which cost him several million dollars.

Among them is a $20.75 million lakeside mansion that he bought during the pandemic in December 2020, the Palm Beach Daily News reports.

Michael Kline graduated from Cornell University and received an MBA from Harvard University. He has been married for almost 30 years and has six children with his wife Pamela.
