Evacuated residents of the Kursk region of Russia are being taken to health centers in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by an employee of one of the health centers in a commentary to Suspilne Krym, UNN reports.
"On Tuesday, there was talk in the city that Kursk residents would be brought to Crimea as refugees. Yesterday, we were told that it is likely that families with children will be resting with us from the next shift. The places that were free will be allocated for them. Now this issue is being resolved," said the resident of the peninsula.
In addition, in a commentary to Suspilne Krym, Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC Denis Chistikov said that yesterday it was reported that the regional branch of the Red Cross in Kerch initiated the relocation of residents of the border Kursk region to the territory of Kerch.
"They show that they have the capacity to provide for these people. It should also be noted that today we received information that 35 people have already arrived and settled in boarding houses in Yevpatoria," Chistikov said.
He emphasized that such actions constitute a violation of Article 4 of the Geneva Convention, specifically on the transfer of population from the territory of the Russian Federation to the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea.
In his opinion, in this way, the Russians continue the practice of displacement of the population, which has been taking place since 2014, when they began to massively import and initiate the transfer of people from the territory of the Russian Federation to the TOT of Crimea under various programs. He is sure that this is a new element of displacement and use of these situations by the Russian Federation and the continuation of its war crimes.
"Crimea, it should be noted, acts as a regional center of the Red Cross, which means that Russia is actually using the humanitarian component in the interests of the occupation authorities. This is also the involvement of the Red Cross in a war crime. We draw the attention of the international community to this situation, as well as to the need to stop such actions in the future and to remove these citizens from the TOT of Crimea," Chistikov emphasized.
Chistikov added that Russia is trying to demonstrate to the population of the occupied Crimea that the situation in the region will be stable and the occupation forces will not leave Crimea.
He emphasized that residents of the Kursk region are settled in boarding houses and camps. rf conceals the fact that there is no holiday season, even according to their information, the hotel business in Crimea is operating at 60%. Chistikov is sure that in reality the figure is even lower.
"Starting from 2023, the so-called rehabilitation programs in Crimea will be funded to the maximum extent possible. In order to preserve these institutions and ensure some stability," the Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC emphasized.
He added that small and medium-sized businesses in Crimea are currently struggling to survive, and the population has virtually no income.

"We are drawing the attention of the international community to react to a new stage of war crimes committed by the Russian Federation - the resettlement of the population and the change in the composition of the population in the TOT of Crimea. There is official confirmation from the Russian Federation that 600,000 Russian citizens have been brought there since 2014. And according to unofficial monitoring data from various organizations and international structures, the figure reaches up to one million people, specifically those displaced from the territory of the Russian Federation to Crimea," Chistikov summarized.
At the same time, RIA Novosti Krym reported on Telegram that a group of evacuees from the Kursk region had arrived in occupied Crimea. The report said that 34 people were taken to a sanatorium.
