Kyiv law enforcement officers have announced suspicion of committing a fatal traffic accident against a 21-year-old BMW driver, reports UNN citing the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Kyiv.

As established by the investigation, the driver of the BMW collided with a Mercedes moving in the same direction in the second lane, and then caused another collision - with a Daewoo Lanos. Subsequently, the BMW, being out of control, flew into the oncoming lane and collided with Hyundai and KIA vehicles.

As a result of the accident, a 51-year-old female driver of the Hyundai died at the scene. Also, injuries were sustained by the 21-year-old BMW driver and his 25-year-old female passenger. They were hospitalized.
It was established that the 21-year-old young man did not have a driver's license. In particular, he was tested for intoxication - he was sober
The detained BMW driver was notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules or vehicle operation resulting in serious bodily injury or death of the victim). The sanction of the article provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment.

The tragedy occurred on Tuesday, June 30, on Ivan Vyhovsky Street in the Podilskyi district. Then a woman died, two were injured.
