The revenues of the general fund of the state budget for the first half of the year increased by 5%, while strengthening the potential of revenues and financing of the security and defense sector. This was announced by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko on his page of the X platform, UNN reports .
The internal potential to ensure state budget revenues for military needs is growing
According to Sergiy Marchenko, the rollover on hryvnia government bonds increased by 17% points. This means an increase of up to 161%, compared to the period of 2023 and the figure of 144%.
The Minister also noted that excise tax revenues to the state budget in the first half of 2024 increased by 18% compared to the same period last year.
Revenues to the general fund of the state budget from VAT in the first half of 2024 increased by 42.5% compared to the same period last year, rising from UAH 249.9 billion to UAH 356 billion,
In general, according to the head of the Ministry of Finance, the revenues of the general fund of the state budget for the first half of 2024 increased by 5% compared to the same period last year, amounting to UAH 913.4 billion.
Expenditures of the general fund of the state budget increased by 9.7% to UAH 1.54 trillion.

UNN reported that Ukraine received 2.2 billion euros from the IMF. The funds will be used for social expendituressuch as pensions, salaries for teachers, doctors, and other social programs.
