Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi has provided details of a monthly supplement to teachers in the amount of UAH 1,000, which will take effect on January 1, 2025, for all teachers of general secondary education.
He said this during a telethon, UNN reports .
A supplement of UAH 1,000, which will be set from January 1, 2025, for all teachers of general secondary education, regardless of seniority, from cities or villages, is a monthly supplement to the teacher's salary
According to him, this is an internal mechanism, and the teacher will not feel it, because no additional effort is required.
Solving the issue of teachers' salaries requires a much larger amount than we managed to find in the budget for the year. The total need to pay teachers' and pedagogical staff's salaries is about UAH 300 billion, but we have found only UAH 12 billion
He explained that this is not a salary increase, but rather a supplement, because an increase requires a different approach. Such additional payments will continue until the end of martial law.
Starting from the next academic year, the supplement will increase to UAH 2000. We will increase the additional payments if the resources we attract increase
