The Ford F-150, which has remained the most popular pickup truck in the US for decades, is officially entering the European market. In 2026, the XLT version of the model, featuring a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8, all-wheel drive, and a classic body-on-frame construction, will go on sale in several European countries. This was reported by Motor1, according to UNN.

The Ford F-150 is an integral part of American life — it is not just a bestseller, but effectively everyday transportation on four wheels. In Europe, the full-size pickup has played more of an exotic role: it was imported and admired, but rarely used daily. This is about to change. In 2026, the F-150 officially enters the European market in the XLT trim.
The Ram Rampage demonstrates how the segment in other countries is already shifting toward more compact models, while Ford remains true to the classic formula: a V8 engine, body-on-frame construction, a large cargo bed, and towing capabilities that are sure to attract the attention of owners of large trailers and caravans.
Sales will be handled by Hedin US Motor, which will offer the pickup in several European markets. The XLT version will serve as the base model. The price starts at approximately 76,500 euros ($88,905 at the current exchange rate). Under the hood, Ford has kept everything traditionally American.
Instead of downsizing or electrification, this pickup is equipped with the classic 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine, producing 406 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. One of the main selling points remains towing: the F-150 can pull up to 7,700 pounds.
This places it in a category of vehicles for which large travel trailers, boat trailers, or car haulers are a common task. At the same time, the open cargo bed provides what many European pickups offer with limitations: space without compromise. Bicycles, construction materials, or an urgent trip to the hardware store — everything fits easily in the back.
Visually, the XLT does not hide its origins. Plenty of chrome, sharp lines, and a characteristically massive front end that seems to say "move over." At over 19 feet long, the F-150 is not a vehicle you park at random. It is rather a machine for which you check for available space first.
Inside, the big Ford looks more modern than stereotypes might suggest. A digital instrument cluster is paired with a large touchscreen, but at the same time, many physical buttons remain. This is a real advantage in daily use: climate control, volume, or drive modes can be adjusted directly.
The equipment is also quite rich: heated seats with power adjustment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a wide range of driver assistance systems. These include a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. It sounds like a standard set, but for such a large vehicle, these functions are particularly important.
The F-150 also impresses with interior space. The SuperCrew cab offers a rear row of seats that feels more like a large SUV than a work vehicle. Up front, a massive center console provides plenty of storage space — enough for more than just small items.

The model also received technical updates. New LED lighting, an updated multimedia system, and additional connectivity features keep the F-150 relevant. Various drive modes for highway, towing, or light off-roading emphasize its versatility as a daily vehicle. It is not a hardcore off-roader, but a work tool with a good level of comfort.
For many buyers, the XLT will likely be the smartest way to enter the F-150 lineup. Imported American versions often easily exceed the 80,000 euro ($93,000) mark, while this version remains relatively affordable.
And the F-150 will not be alone. With the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning, Ford has already shown how fast a pickup can be. At the same time, the return of the Ram TRX suggests that the era of "large engine displacement over restraint" is far from over.
The publication notes that while the F-150 may be extremely popular in the US due to wide roads and long distances, it is not a vehicle designed for everyday use in Europe. Here, it will remain a niche model.
