A lawyer who killed a woman and threw a suitcase with her dismembered body into a pond was sentenced to 15 years in prison. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General, UNN reports .

Prosecutors proved in court that in May 2022, in one of the villages of the Obukhiv district, the lawyer killed his acquaintance. He dismembered the victim's body, put her parts in a suitcase and threw them into a canal near a pumping station. The convict left the internal organs of the murdered woman in the refrigerator of his house.
He also kept an RGD-5 hand-held fragmentation grenade with a unified fuse at his residence.
He was sentenced to 15 years in prison. According to the court's verdict, the man is obliged to pay the victim's son more than UAH 700 thousand in material and moral damages.
