The Kyiv Zoo has replenished the ecosystem of islands in the lakes of the lower park with large birds. Its collection includes turkeys, common peacocks and exotic white peacocks. This was reported by the press service of the institution, writes UNN.

According to KyivZoo, with the newly arrived white peacocks, the number of birds of this species in the zoo has increased to two dozen.
Some of them live on the grounds of the apple orchard. And others are discovering the world of green islands, spreading their bright feathers among the spring natural diversity.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the zoo has sheltered, treated and rehabilitated approximately 600 individuals of various animal species.
The zoo reminded that the institution is open for entry until 17:00, and it is possible to stay on the territory until 18:30. Opening hours of ticket offices: Monday – from 12:00 to 17:00, Tuesday – Sunday – from 10:00 to 17:00.

At the end of March, red-listed pelicans returned to the Kyiv Zoo. A flock of red-listed pelicans, which numbers 23 birds, can now be observed near the houses near the lakes next to the Central entrance.
