The head of the Kyiv RSA, Ruslan Kravchenko, while on an official visit to the Tuscany region of Italy, discussed with the governor of the region Eugenio Giani support for the Victory Plan. Kravchenko reported this on his Facebook page, UNN reports.
Today, Ukraine is defending not only its borders, but the borders of the whole of Europe. I heard these words from my Italian colleague, Governor Eugenio Giani of the Tuscany region. This is a twin region of Kyiv region, and today we are working to develop our cooperation. During the 1000 days of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops have been destroying Ukrainian cities and taking lives of ordinary people. To stop the evil and achieve a just peace, we are working to unite our international partners around the Victory Plan presented by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy
The Head of the Kyiv RSA discussed support for the Victory Plan with Giani and representatives of the Tuscan regional government, mayors and representatives of municipalities.
“Today, the enemy is destroying our energy system, destroying and damaging more than 30,000 facilities in Kyiv region. I asked to convey to every resident of the region that only together we can stop the destruction of peaceful Ukrainian cities by Russians and the killing of people,” the head of the region emphasized.
During the meeting, the parties updated the Memorandum of Cooperation signed online this spring. According to Kravchenko, the parties are already actively working on implementing projects in the economy and entrepreneurship; science and culture; business and medicine. By the way, medical institutions of Kyiv and Tuscany signed a memorandum of medical partnership.
“I thanked Eugenio Gianni, the government and people of Italy for their tremendous military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, as well as support for those who were forced to leave Ukraine because of the war. To date, 15 thousand Ukrainians have been sheltered in Tuscany. He invited Mr. Giani to take part in the Third International Summit of Cities and Regions with the participation of the President of Ukraine in the spring of 2025. He assured me that he would find a few days to visit Ukraine and identify additional projects to help the residents of our region,” Kravchenko summarized the results of the meeting.
