The European Commission's new package of sanctions against Russia should concern the so-called Russian "shadow fleet", liquefied natural gas and the fight against Russia's circumvention of the imposed restrictions. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, member of the Permanent Delegation to PACE Yevhenia Kravchuk, UNN reports with reference to the Press Service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Details

Ukraine hopes that the European Commission's new package of sanctions against Russia will include liquefied natural gas, and that attention will be paid to the fight against the so-called Russian shadow fleet and circumvention of the restrictions imposed.

The aggressor country circumvents the restrictions on the price of Russian oil by using vessels from countries that do not support the sanctions policy. Russia also buys up old tankers, often transporting oil, some of which is not of Russian production, and accordingly, the documents indicate that all oil products are unauthorized. Combating these schemes is very important

- emphasized Yevheniia Kravchuk, MP, member of the permanent delegation to PACE.

According to her, the fight against European companies operating in third countries and continuing to maintain economic ties with Russia is one of the most urgent areas of work.

Recall

The European Commission is expected to propose sanctions against ships delivering North Korean military equipment to Russiaand tankers that violate the G7 price ceiling on Russian oil.
