Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announces the completion of work on the Obolon Wave Bridge and the transformation of Obolon Island into a new recreational area with a pedestrian bridge, parking and sports grounds.

In Kyiv, work on the development of Obolonsky Island and the construction of a pedestrian bridge to it is at the final stage. This was stated by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, reports UNN.

According to him, Kyiv residents will soon be able to visit the new recreational area.

The new recreational area in Kyiv is to connect Natalka Park, the embankment, and Obolonsky Island, to which a new pedestrian bridge will lead.

As part of the development of the area, a parking lot is also being built nearby for both the safety and comfort of visitors. Its underground part will serve as a shelter during air raids. And the above-ground part will be a sports recreation area.
