In February-March, IMI recorded six crimes against media and journalists committed by russia. These are cases of threats, damage to media offices and cyberattacks
It is noted that 102 media workers have died since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. IMI also recorded 14 cases of missing journalists, 29 cases of kidnapping journalists, 42 cases of wounded journalists, 2 attempted murders, 21 cases of shelling of TV towers, 45 cases of shelling of journalists.
In addition, 102 cybercrimes, 29 cases of legal pressure, 10 cases of blocking Internet access to the media, 35 cases of disabling Ukrainian broadcasting and broadcasting Russian propaganda, as well as 129 cases of persecution of journalists have been recorded.
Also, 332 media outlets have ceased operations due to russia's war against Ukraine.

In February, as a result of a night attack by UAVs on Kyiv region, Ukrainian journalist Tetyana Kulyk and her husband Pavlo Ivanchov died. A drone hit their house in Bucha district, causing a fire.
In the battle against the occupiers on March 18 in eastern Ukraine, Dmytro Bendikov, the editor of the TSN.ua website, who served in the Third Assault Brigade, died.
