In Romania, the Constitutional Court decided to annul the results of the first round of presidential elections, which means a complete restart of the electoral process. This is reported by Digi24, reports UNN.
The judges made this decision after an urgent meeting, which considered requests to cancel the voting results.
The requests provided declassified documents, according to which the campaign of the pro-Russian candidate Kalin Giorgescu was the result of manipulations organized outside of Romania.
Earlier, Conservative candidate Christian Terges appealed to the court with a request to annul the results of the first round.

The first round of elections was held on November 24. According to the results of the vote, the victory was won by anti-Western candidate Kalin Giorgescu, who has repeatedly spoken out against NATO and maintained closer ties with Russia. Giorgescu also criticized Romania's policy towards Ukraine, saying that the country should cooperate with Russia.
On November 28 , The Supreme Court of Romania decided to recount the votes,and the Central Election Commission noted that the first round could be held again if the court annulled the vote.
