In Lviv, on August 21, during a document check, a man pulled out a knife and fatally wounded a 55-year-old employee of a territorial recruitment and social support center. According to law enforcement officials, the wounded recruitment center employee died in an ambulance. Preliminary reports indicate that the attack was carried out by a 25-year-old resident of Lviv.
During the attack, a police officer used his service firearm to avert the threat and fired two shots at the attacker. The man sustained a leg injury and was hospitalized.
The attacker was detained
