As analysts note, it was recorded that "in July 2026 alone, Russia used up to two-thirds of its planned annual production of Zircon missiles, and that in July Russia launched more ballistic missiles than the reported total monthly production volume of Russia." "Reports from the Ukrainian Air Force for July indicate that Russia launched 107 ballistic missiles and 20 Zircon missiles against Ukraine in July," the report states.
The analysts' report cites published data indicating that "Russia produces about 60 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 40 S-400 system missiles per month."
"Russia appears to be using its arsenals to continue increasing the number of ballistic missiles it launches against Ukraine, as these missiles have a higher success rate than drones and cruise missiles. The Russian armed forces have simultaneously reduced the number of drones they launch in each night strike, launching 2,955 in July 2026 compared to 5,749 in June 2026," the ISW stated.
