The ban on the import of Ukrainian grain to Poland will remain in place until rules are developed at the EU level. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Poland Czeslaw Sekerski, UNN reports with reference to Polskie Radio 24.
Mr. Sekersky emphasized that this includes restrictions on grain supplies.
He added that Ukrainian grain exports should follow a different path than European or Polish ones.
"...there is always a certain risk, even in transit, that some grain and other agricultural products remain in Poland," the head of the Polish Ministry of Agrarian Policy explained.
Recall
Poland's ban on Ukrainian grain imports has been in effect since September.
At that time, the EU embargo was lifted in Poland, as well as in Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, and Slovakia. The EU's ban on imports of wheat, corn, rapeseed, and sunflower to these countries was imposed due to disruptions in agricultural markets.
