President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated the United States on Independence Day, emphasizing the significance of the American struggle for freedom and thanking Washington for its support of Ukraine in countering Russian aggression. The head of state wrote about this on social media, reports UNN.
According to Zelenskyy, the American dream of an independent, free, and democratic state has been an example for other nations for 250 years.
Today marks 250 years of one of the brightest, strongest, and most influential human dreams – the American dream of one's own independent, free, prosperous country that protects people's freedom, faith, and pursuit of happiness
He emphasized that Ukraine today is fighting for the same values that Americans once fought for.
We greatly appreciate the support of the United States, and especially now, during Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. American weapons – from the "Javelins" that President Trump decided to provide to Ukraine, to the "Patriots" that most reliably protect the lives of our people – prove the strength of the American spirit, American determination, and American technology
The President also expressed hope for continued American leadership in protecting freedom and peace.
