It is possible that the Russian large amphibious assault ship Novocherkassk, which was subjected to an air strike, could have been loaded with "Shahed", but this information is being checked. This was reported by the spokeswoman for the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk during a briefing, the correspondent of UNN reports.
"The large landing ship (Novocherkassk - ed.) could quite likely have been very densely loaded, because the detonation that was observed indicates the presence of not only fuel and regular ammunition," Humeniuk said.
When asked if the Novocherkassk could have been loaded with Shahedis, Humeniuk replied: "It is possible, but we are still checking the information."
AddendumAddendum
As reported by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on December 26, tactical aviation of the Air Force attacked with cruise missiles a large landing ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet "Novocherkassk" near Feodosia. Later, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the damage to the ship in Feodosia.
Gumenyuk statedthat the large detonation at Novocherkassk indicates that it could have been a "Christmas gift" from Russia to Ukraine.
