Every serviceman who has been injured has the right to support and social guarantees. The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has explained how the procedure for establishing a disability group will take place, reports UNN.
Medical care and documentary confirmation
After receiving an injury, the serviceman first ends up at the nearest medical facility for stabilization of his condition.
Evaluation of the condition
The next step is to undergo a military medical commission (MMC). The head of the MMC, if necessary, forms an electronic referral for further assessment of daily functioning by expert teams.
Forms of assessment of a person's daily functioning by expert teams:
- In-person review (personal presence in a medical facility)
- At the place of stay (for those who cannot move)
- Remotely (based on documents)
- Remotely (using telemedicine)
The serviceman will receive a notification from the system on his email about the form, time and place of the assessment.
Decision of the expert team
Specialists determine the disability group or the percentage of disability (necessary for the appointment of a one-time cash benefit), rehabilitation measures and the timing of re-examinations. The data will be entered into the electronic system and transferred to government agencies for social support. The decision will also be sent to the patient by email or registered mail, and to the attending physician's office in the electronic system.
The serviceman can also apply for a one-time cash benefit and receive other social support.
Reminder
The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on November 15 adopted a resolution that regulates the liquidation of medical and social expert commissions and the transfer of their powers to expert teams for functional assessment.
