Then Mriya challenged Zurabishvili's foreign visits without government confirmation and tried to impeach him, secured the decision of the Constitutional Court, but there were not enough votes during the voting.
President Solomi Zurabishvili is in opposition to the Georgian Dream government until the end of her presidential term, supporting pro-European protests. This week, on December 14, the ruling party plans to elect a new president with the help of the Electoral College. Zurabishvili says that the new parliament and government are illegitimate, and she does not resign until new elections.
