"A total of 117 combat engagements took place since the beginning of the day. The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk sector, and the enemy has also intensified its activity in the Lyman and Kurakhove sectors," the General Staff reports.
The Russian invaders launched one missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, using two missiles, and 68 air strikes, involving 90 combat aircraft. In addition, the Russians used 362 kamikaze drones and fired more than 2,700 times at our troops' positions and populated areas.
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy conducted three assaults near the towns of Lyptsi, Starytsia and Vovchansk. Ukrainian soldiers stopped all the aggressor's assaults.
In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy attacked our positions 10 times in the areas of Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Stelmakhivka. Six of the attacks were successfully repelled, and four more battles are ongoing.
The enemy intensified its efforts in the Liman sector over the last day. The occupants attacked 14 times near Nevske, Hrekivka, Makiivka and Terny. Ukrainian defense forces repelled 12 attacks, two more are ongoing. The losses of the Russian occupiers are being clarified.
On the Seversk direction, the enemy tried to advance twice in the area of Verkhnekamianske. All efforts to push our units from their positions failed.
Four unsuccessful enemy attacks took place in the Kramatorsk sector. Ukrainian defenders confidently thwarted Russian plans near Kalynivka, Hryhorivka and Chasovyi Yar.
Russian invaders were most active today in the Pokrovske sector. Since the beginning of the day, the occupants have attempted to penetrate our defense 45 times near the towns of New York, Progress, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Lozuvatske, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. Nine firefights are still ongoing. The enemy is suffering significant losses - 273 occupants were neutralized in this area today, 91 of them were irretrievably wounded, one BMP-1, a Su-25 aircraft and two enemy vehicles were destroyed. In addition, two more howitzers, one tank and one BMP-2 were damaged.
In the Kurakhove sector, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked our positions 17 times near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka.
The enemy failed in the Vremivske direction. Russians made eight unsuccessful offensives near Vodiane, Kostiantynivka and Makarivka.
On the ORikhiv and Prydniprovsky directions, all the efforts of the invading troops to push our units from their positions also failed.
"The defense forces are confidently holding back the onslaught of the Russian occupation forces. Special mention should be made of the soldiers of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the Tauride, who are bravely holding their positions and skillfully repelling enemy attacks," the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine adds.
