"As for general Kellogg. We welcome his nomination for this important mission. It is really important and complex. Kellogg is not a new person for us, Ukraine, and in general, the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States has maintained close contact with him, in particular in the framework of expert diplomacy in recent years. During this time, I have developed and maintain a good dialogue with him. Our delegations also met with him repeatedly," Tihy said.
He said that Kellogg was among the special guests at President Zelensky's speech at the Reagan Institute during his July visit to the United States.
"Of course, we look forward to working with him, even more active interaction with him in his new role. We will cooperate, we will establish contact with him," Tihy said.

Earlier, advisers to the former US President Keith Kellogg and Fred Fleitz suggested depriving Ukraine of American support and arms supplies until Kiev agrees to peace talks with Russia. Ukraine may try to regain the lost territories, but it will have to do so through diplomatic means, the WSJ noted.
Kellogg was chief of staff to the White House National Security Council during Trump's 2017-2021 presidential term and national security adviser to then-Vice President Mike Pence.
