FIFA is opening the sale of more World Cup tickets after causing dissatisfaction among some fans by adding new, more expensive categories, UNN reports with reference to AP.

The football governing body announced on Tuesday that more tickets for all 104 matches in Categories 1, 2, and 3, as well as new prices for "front row seats" introduced this month, would be available on Wednesday at 11:00 EDT.
The new category sparked online complaints from fans who said they believed the best seats in the categories for which they had purchased tickets were hidden, and they were given less favorable seats.
In December, FIFA began selling tickets at prices ranging from $140 for Category 3 in the first round to $8,680 for the final, and then raised prices to $10,990 when sales resumed on April 1.

Also on Tuesday, The Athletic reported that ticket sales for the opening World Cup match between the USA and Paraguay on June 12 in Inglewood, California, were slow. A document circulated among local organizers on April 10 stated that 40,934 tickets had been purchased for the USA-Paraguay match, and 50,661 tickets for the Iran-New Zealand match on April 15. FIFA projects the capacity of SoFi Stadium to be approximately 69,650 seats, noting that this figure may change.
In FIFA's December ticket sale, tickets for the USA-Paraguay match cost $1,120, $1,940, and $2,735, while tickets for the Iran-New Zealand match cost $140, $380, and $450.
