In Pechersk district, a drunk driver driving a Toyota drove into the oncoming lane and hit a into the oncoming lane and crashed into a Renault. The Toyota was driven by a citizen of another state, born in 1979. of birth. According to preliminary information from law enforcement, he was in a state of intoxicated.
Law enforcement officers detained the driver of the Toyota in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
The incident was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 286-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - violation of the rules of road safety or or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles in a state of intoxication.
For committing a fatal road accident while intoxicated, the driver of the Toyota faces up to ten years in prison.
Police are currently working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are establishing all the participants of the accident and the mechanism of the accident.
