The Russian Federation shows complete disrespect for peaceful negotiations and a lack of interest in holding them, attacking the territory of Ukraine every day. This was stated by European Commission spokeswoman Anitta Hipper at a briefing in Brussels, reports UNN.

"Ukraine needs a ceasefire, and no one wants peace more than Ukraine. And it is very important that peace negotiations continue. But the result of these peace negotiations should be the strengthening of Ukraine, because Putin does not respect weakness. And that is why we need to put Ukraine in a position of strength," Hipper said.
According to her, the EU is committed to continuing to provide military support and strengthening defense capabilities.
She also mentioned the recent attacks by Russia, which killed at least 20 civilians, including nine children.
