Curfews will be tightened in five frontline districts of Kharkiv region, which will be in effect from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. due to the security situation. The head of the Kharkiv RMA, Oleh Syniehubov, said this during a telethon on Tuesday, UNN reports.

"In fact, it is 5 districts, 201 settlements. We are going to strengthen the curfew. This was actually discussed at a meeting of the Regional Defense Council. As I said, these are 5 districts - Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Izyum, Chuhuiv districts. The curfew will last from 5 p.m. to 9 a.m. These measures are due to the security situation. It is caused by the counteraction of the illegal armed groups, because we constantly record them along the border. When our special services work, they must operate in comfortable conditions. This is the purpose of this curfew," said Syniehubov.
He added that residents are being asked to evacuate these areas, as people are under constant shelling.
