The Norwegians opened the scoring in the 36th minute thanks to a precise strike by Andreas Schjelderup. England equalized already in stoppage time of the first half, when Jude Bellingham, after a pass from Anthony Gordon, leveled the score.
The winner could not be determined in regular time, and in the third minute of the first extra time, Bellingham scored a double, being the first to the rebound after a shot by Morgan Rogers. This goal became the winning one for the English.
In the semifinal, which will take place on July 15 in Atlanta, the England national team will play against the winner of the match Argentina – Switzerland.
