Based on the results of combat operations in July, the 423rd Separate UAS Regiment "Scythian Griffins" increased the total number of enemy targets hit by 15%. In particular, the number of enemy personnel hit (+57%), heavy motor vehicles (+139%), and UAVs of various types (+ 46%) increased significantly, the regiment’s media service reports, according to UNN.
Overall, during July, the regiment’s personnel hit: 338 enemy personnel, 589 shelters, 128 heavy motor vehicles, 2 tanks, 25 artillery systems, 73 fixed-wing and multirotor UAVs, 2 ground robotic systems, 62 warehouses and technical assets. The total number of hits for the month amounted to 1 293 verified enemy targets.
The military emphasizes that this increase in combat effectiveness occurred even before the final reorganization of the 423rd Separate Battalion into a regiment and became an example of how positive motivation affects the performance of every soldier and commander.
According to the commander of the "Scythian Griffins," Colonel V. Hersak, following its transformation into a separate regiment and the corresponding increase in combat capabilities, the number of targets hit should at least double within the next few months. "This is precisely the task I am setting for the newly appointed commanders of our battalions and their soldiers," said Regiment Commander V. Hersak.
As reported earlier, at the beginning of August, the 423rd Separate UAS Battalion "Scythian Griffins" was reorganized into the 423rd Separate UAS Regiment. V. Hersak was appointed commander of the regiment and received the military rank of colonel.
