Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 3,405 Ukrainians have been released from Russian captivity. The DIU representative noted the difference in attitudes toward released prisoners in Ukraine and Russia.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 3405 Ukrainians have been released from Russian captivity through 54 exchanges. This was stated by a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Yusov, during a telethon, UNN reports.

"Already 3405 Ukrainians have been returned from Russian captivity since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. This was the 54th exchange," Yusov said.

According to him, there are a few things that attract the world's attention during the exchange: the sight of Ukrainian defenders returning from Russian captivity and the sight of Russians released from Ukrainian captivity.

"The naked eye can see that, for the most part, Ukrainians return in a difficult condition. There is also a big difference in the way the Ukrainian and Russian sides welcome people back from captivity. Ukrainians greet their defenders as heroes, while Russians are ashamed of them," he adds.

Recall

Yesterday, on July 17, another 95 Ukrainians were released from Russian captivity, including military personnel, members of the National Guard and border guards.
