I went out to see how bad it was. It is shocking. Many airplanes are under the rubble. The smell of oil and fuel in the air. I don't know how they are going to start cleaning it all up.

We believe that there were very few casualties because the warning systems in the city of Omaha and Douglas County were very effective... We were not hit by a sudden storm. People had warned us about it, which we believe saved lives.

In neighboring Iowa, a large tornado wreaked havoc in the small town of Minden. This was reported by the National Weather Service. The disaster also destroyed buildings there, including about 120 homes.
