American actor David Schwimmer, star of the cult 90s TV show "Friends," admitted that for a long time he couldn't listen to the show's theme song. He said this while speaking in a new podcast by Matt Lucas and David Walliams, Variety reports, writes UNN.

The main theme of "Friends" made the actor sick of it for a long time. According to him, listening to this theme, performed by The Rembrandts and released as a single in 1995, for 10 seasons of the popular show and later was more than enough for him.
What's more, Schwimmer couldn't find the words to describe his reaction to the once mega-popular motif.
I'll be very honest, there was a time when just hearing the title song was really... I just had that reaction. I mean, I've just heard it so many times
Schwimmer added that even after "Friends" ended in 2004, the theme still haunted him.

The actor also admitted that he did not watch "Friends" after leaving the show.
I felt like I did it, and I'm moving on, not going back and not looking back
Schwimmer added that he only started watching the show after his daughter Cleo "discovered it for herself at around the age of 9".
I was making breakfast or something, and I heard my child laughing. My whole attitude towards this song and the show changed
Variety also added that David Schwimmer recently appeared as a regular in the second season of the series "Goosebumps."
