In the Cherkasy region, on the H-16 highway, the driver of a DAF truck, probably falling asleep, crashed into a road fence, the regional patrol police reported on Thursday, UNN reports.

An accident on the highway H-16 Zolotonosha - Cherkasy - Smila - Uman involving a DAF truck occurred today
"The driver, driving a DAF truck, lost control and hit a road fence. The driver himself told the inspectors that he had probably fallen asleep at the wheel," the patrol police said on Telegram.
The published photos show that the truck rolled over on its side near the pond.
No one was reportedly injured in the accident.
The inspectors drew up the accident materials and the issue of bringing the driver to justice under Art. 124 (violation of traffic rules that led to an accident) of the Code of Administrative Offenses is currently being decided.
