Fuel supplies to Cuba are blocked from both a commercial and humanitarian standpoint due to direct threats, unilateral coercive measures, and even the pursuit or intimidation of tankers
The U.S. rejected the accusations
The minister also stated that due to the fuel shortage in Cuba, the humanitarian situation is deteriorating.

According to Cuban authorities, the country produces only about 40% of the fuel it needs. The situation was further worsened by a massive power grid failure, due to which some residents have been without electricity for almost two days.
U.S. representative to the UN Jeff Bartos rejected Cuba's accusations and stated that the Cuban authorities are spreading propaganda.
