Today, on July 24,  the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv imposed a pre-trial restraint on the co-owner of the building, Mykhailo Grechko, who ordered the demolition of the Zelensky estate in Kyiv. Personal obligations were set for the suspect. This was reported by UNN with reference to Suspilne

Details

Prosecutors demanded a measure of restraint in the form of a personal commitment.  They believe that there is a risk of the suspect hiding from the pre-trial investigation and court. According to the prosecutor's office, in 2023, Grechko traveled abroad through the Shlyakh system.

Grechka's lawyer insisted in court that the destroyed building was not listed in the register of immovable monuments. She provided the court with copies of relevant  documents, including those from the Ministry of Culture.

Grechko said at the hearing that he did not admit his guilt. According to him, the manor was to be reconstructed - it was planned to restore its exterior and interior within the foundation.

The court imposed a personal commitment as a measure of restraint on the suspect. He also has to-  surrender his passports, report to the investigator if necessary, notify him of any change of residence and refrain from communicating with witnesses.

The measure will remain in place until September 23.
