The United Kingdom and France will accelerate military planning of a "coalition of the willing" over the next two weeks to focus on guaranteeing Ukraine's security on land, in the air and at sea, as well as restoring the Armed Forces. This was stated during a briefing to journalists of Bloomberg by the UK Defence Secretary John Healey and the French Defence Secretary Sebastien Lecornu, reports UNN.

Sebastien Lecornu said that the coalition members must respond in writing to a number of detailed questions by the end of next week. After that, the heads of the defence ministries of France and the United Kingdom will analyse the answers.
It is noted that the United Kingdom and the European Union discussed several initiatives to increase aid to Ukraine, increase defence spending and the possibility of participating in a coalition of countries wishing to provide security guarantees to Ukraine as part of a possible peace agreement.
The French Minister noted that potential coalition members are already starting to formulate exactly what they can help with, and whether this is possible given the political and constitutional constraints of each country. In particular, Turkey is exploring the possibility of joining the maritime component of this force.
According to the French Minister, the plans under discussion are designed to complement the support for the Ukrainian army, which will be at the forefront.
