At the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the Polish-Ukrainian border, a blockade of truck traffic has begun. The protesters planned to let 1 truck per hour into Ukraine and completely block the exit, the State Customs Service reported on Saturday, UNN writes.

"The announced blocking of truck traffic in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the Polish-Ukrainian border has begun. According to the Polish side, today, November 23, the blocking of truck traffic has begun by constantly moving citizens through the pedestrian crossing in front of the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint on the Polish side," the State Customs Service reported on social media.
According to the State Border Guard Service, today at about 10:00 Polish protesters began blocking the Medika-Shehyni checkpoint. According to preliminary information, the action will last 48 hours with a possible extension.
"Currently, there is no accumulation of trucks in front of the checkpoint for exit from Ukraine. There are about 150 trucks for entry into Ukraine," the message says.
As indicated, a preliminary announcement was made to restrict the movement of trucks:
- 1 truck per hour to enter Ukraine;
- to leave Ukraine - the movement of trucks weighing more than 3.5 tons is completely blocked.
As noted, the protesters did not intend to restrict the movement of buses and cars in both directions.
The blocking period is preliminarily announced by the end of the year.
