Biden's meeting with Xi will be an opportunity to assess progress in the relationship and maintain stability during the transition, Sullivan said. The Chinese president arrived in Lima four hours before Biden and has already held talks with Boluarte, after which the two leaders took part in the virtual opening of the Changkai port, built with Chinese capital.
