Russian military intelligence was preparing a terrorist attack in frontline Zaporizhzhia on the anniversary of the SBU's creation. An "agent couple" aged 18 and 19 were detained in advance. Currently, the perpetrators are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

According to the counterintelligence of the Security Service, on this day the occupiers planned to remotely detonate explosives together with their agents near the checkpoint of the military unit.
For this purpose, they rented a private house opposite the object, which they used as an observation point for the target. A hidden webcam was installed on the window of the house and equipped with remote access for Russian special services.
To carry out the task, the Russian invaders found an 18-year-old boy and a 19-year-old girl in Telegram channels who were looking for "easy money".
They were detained by SBU officers in a rented house, while equipping an improvised explosive device (IED) with additional damaging elements.
During the search, the couple seized components for the manufacture of IEDs, a video camera and mobile phones with evidence of the crime.
SBU investigators have informed the detainees of suspicion under two articles: "treason committed under martial law by prior conspiracy by a group of persons" and "preparation for a terrorist act".
