Electricity consumption is increasing due to lower air temperatures. Due to bad weather, 38 settlements in two regions are without power. The blackout schedules will be from 14:00 to 21:00. In Ternopil region, emergency power outages due to a nighttime Russian drone attack, without adherence to previous schedules. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on Tuesday, UNN reports.
Enemy shelling
"As a result of a massive drone attack last night, emergency blackouts were introduced in Ternopil region, and the previous schedules for applying restrictive measures are not currently in effect. Power engineers have already begun restoration work to restore stable power supply in the region as soon as possible," the NPC said.
Consumption
"Consumption is growing. Today, on November 26, as of 6:00 a.m., its level was 5% higher than at the same time on the previous day - on Monday. This is due to the persistence of frosty weather in most regions throughout the day," the company said.
Yesterday, the daily consumption peak was in the morning - 9.4% higher than on the previous working day, which was explained by a drop in air temperature compared to last week.
Ukrenergo emphasized that the power system "still has a significant capacity deficit".
"In order to balance the power system, hourly outage schedules have been in effect in all regions from 7:00 to 10:00 and will be applied from 14:00 to 21:00. (...) Changes in the application of restrictive measures are also possible," the NPC said.
And they urged us not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time when the lights come on on schedule.
Bad weather
As of this morning, 38 settlements remained without power due to severe weather conditions: 35 in Chernihiv region and 3 in Sumy region. Emergency repair works in these regions are ongoing.

It will be supplied throughout the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, and Moldova. The total volume is 7,197 MWh, with a maximum capacity of up to 684 MW in some hours.
