Instead, in a previous Reuters poll on July 15-16, Harris and Trump each garnered 44% support, and at the beginning of the month, the Republican was one percentage point ahead of the US vice president.
In addition, in the latest poll, 56% of registered U.S. voters said that the 59-year-old Harris "has a sharp mind and is able to meet challenges." Only 49% said the same about 78-year-old Trump, and only 22% said the same about 81-year-old Biden.
