A shipment of luxury furs worth 400,000 UAH was seized on the border with Poland

At the Hrushiv checkpoint, border guards discovered 120 arctic fox pelts in a bus traveling from Warsaw. The driver was transporting the undeclared goods as an ordinary parcel.

Border guards and customs officers stopped an attempt to illegally import elite fur at the "Hrushiv" checkpoint in the Lviv region. This was reported by UNN with reference to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

During the inspection of luggage in a regular bus traveling on the "Warsaw - Ivano-Frankivsk" route, a hidden cargo consisting of 120 arctic fox skins was discovered.

According to the State Border Guard Service, the 65-year-old driver of the vehicle stated that he took the fur in Poland as an ordinary parcel and was simply supposed to deliver it in Ivano-Frankivsk.

The total value amounts to over 400,000 hryvnias.

The undeclared goods have been seized and transferred to the customs warehouse. The driver faces legal consequences for violating customs regulations
