The body of a man from Chernihiv region was found near the border of Ukraine with Romania, it is assumed that the deceased tried to illegally cross the border, his body had been lying in the forest for several months, the State Border Guard Service reported on Wednesday, UNN reports.

"Another body of a dead man was found near the border with Romania. The discovery was reported to border guards by local residents. The body, which had been lying in the forest for several months, probably belongs to a citizen of Ukraine born in 1980 from Chernihiv region," the SBGS said.
It is preliminarily assumed that the man was trying to illegally cross the border.
The SBGS noted that crossing the border outside checkpoints is not only illegal but also life-threatening.
