The four-bedroom, five-bathroom Upper West Side home at 51 West 95th St. was listed for sale nine months ago - even after the sellers lowered the price from $7.6 million in April and then again in July.
The current owner purchased it in 2009 for $4.7 million.
According to listing agent and president of Vandenberg, a townhouse expert, Dexter Guerrieri, the five-story 19th-century townhouse has experienced a surge in showings over the past couple of weeks as interest rates have stabilized.

In addition to a private garden, sun terrace and climate-controlled wine cellar, the property offers bay windows, beautiful stucco moldings and high ceilings.
The house was featured in the 1992 Christmas blockbuster Home Alone 2. And the family that lives there now still receives letters from children who talk about Home Alone at Christmas.
