In Odesa, law enforcement officers detained a group of criminals who were selling drugs in the region and throughout Ukraine. This is reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine, UNN writes.
Details
In the course of investigative and search operations, the police identified a number of persons involved in the criminal activity. Two women and two men aged 29 to 49 from Odesa city were exposed. Among them are the organizer, co-organizer and executors.
The police documented the offenders' transactions and seized cannabis, amphetamine, PVP and crack from illicit trafficking.
The members of the criminal group were detained in accordance with Art. 208 (Detention by an authorized official) and placed in a temporary detention center until a court chooses a measure of restraint
Based on the collected evidence, the offenders were served a notice of suspicion of illegal acquisition, storage, transfer with intent to sell, as well as illegal sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
This crime is classified under Part 2 of Art. 307 (illegal acquisition, storage with intent to sell, as well as illegal sale of narcotic drugs committed repeatedly) and is punishable by imprisonment for a term of six to ten years with confiscation of property.

Law enforcement officers documented the criminal activity of the defendants for several months. More than four kilograms of various drugs and psychotropics, as well as scales, packaging material, "draft" records, money, and phones were seized as material evidence from post offices, offenders' residences, and vehicles.
The origin of some substances has already been confirmed by rapid tests and expert opinions.
At black market prices, the criminals received more than UAH 2 million 250 thousand from the transactions every month.
