A fire broke out at an animal shelter in Kyiv region, destroying 20 enclosures, the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv region reported on Saturday, UNN writes.
Today at 04:29, the Rescue Service received a report of a fire in the animal enclosures on the premises of the "Sirius" shelter in the village of Fedorivka, Dymerska territorial community
As noted, rescuers promptly arrived at the scene.
"Upon arrival, it was established that the animal enclosures were burning. At 05:55, the fire was extinguished over an area of 300 sq. m. The fire destroyed 20 enclosures, a food preparation room, a storage room, and a fence," the State Emergency Service stated.
Eight rescuers and two units of fire and rescue equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The cause of the fire is being established.
