At the same time, on February 22, they voted to ratify the "treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual assistance" between the kremlin and the terrorist organizations of the "l/dnr".

In the end, the top military and political leadership of russia used this decision as a formal basis for launching a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Based on the evidence collected, the court found the russian MPs guilty under Part 3 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and sentenced them to 15 years in prison in absentia. In addition, indictments against 23 other Russian MPs have been sent to court. Since the perpetrators are on the territory of the aggressor country, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring them to justice
